DriveThruRPG does not permit products that contain executable code, applications, software, installers, browser extensions, or other media that must be installed or run on a customer’s device. This includes products that function as unverifiable programs, tools, or utilities rather than static digital content.
For the purposes of this policy, prohibited content includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Executable files (.exe, .app, .msi, etc.)
- Installers or launchers
- Standalone software applications
- Browser extensions or plugins
- Scripts or packaged code intended to be executed by the customer
- Products requiring customers to install software from external sources in order to use the purchased product as intended
This policy does not prohibit static digital assets such as PDFs, STLs, image files, audio files, video files, or other non-executable content commonly used for tabletop gaming products.
Products published prior to June 1, 2026 may remain available at DriveThruRPG’s discretion. However, DriveThruRPG reserves the right to deactivate or remove any product that violates this policy or presents security, safety, verification, or support concerns.
New submissions containing executable software or related content will not be approved through the standard publishing process.
